Two ways to work with me

I'm Em, a coach and writer. I help women understand how they're wired and loosen the patterns that keep pulling them back, drawing on Human Design, REBT, mindfulness, feminist theory, and a whole kaleidoscope of other lenses.

Start small with a look at your chart, or go deeper with 1:1 coaching.

1 — 20 in Your Design

Send me your birthday, birth time, and birth place, along with the one thing you're actually wrestling with right now. I'll spend 20 minutes reading your chart against exactly what you told me and send you back a short, direct written insight within 3-5 business days.

Not a generic overview of your Type and Authority. A focused answer to the specific thing you're stuck on, seen through how you're actually wired.

No live call, no hour-long session. Just clear, written insight you can sit with and use.

Why Catch the Hook — Not Life Coaching, Not Therapy

My Method: Catch the Hook™ is a five-part method for breaking the pull back to what triggers you — the relationship, the boss, the job, the old story. Built for the moment you're not confused anymore. Just still hooked.

Life coaching assumes you're already free and just need structure. You're not free yet.

Therapy works at the pace of insight. But insight doesn't move at the speed of the moment you're actually triggered — a text from someone you're supposed to be done with, an email from a boss who still runs your nervous system.

Catch the Hook lives in that gap. You already know the pattern. You're still reacting to it — in a relationship, a job, a friendship, a family dynamic. This isn't new goals. It isn't diagnosis. It's breaking a live trigger loop while it's still firing.

How a Session Actually Works

In a session, I'm tracking a few things at once — what your chart says about how you're actually wired, what your body is doing while you talk, where the hook is still live underneath what you're saying.

You can already describe the pattern perfectly. That was never the missing piece. What's missing is catching it in real time, in your actual nervous system — not analyzing it after the fact.

But I'm not handing you a diagnosis. I'm asking the question that gets you to the moment you actually say it out loud — the thing you already knew but hadn't said. "Who are you to deny your gifts?" isn't me telling you the answer. It's the question that gets you there. Your chart and your body tell me where to point. The insight is always yours.

Afterward, the follow-up is built from your own words, not my interpretation of them — because you already said the true thing in the room. My job is making sure you don't lose it by Tuesday.

What a Session Includes

One hour, over video, live. I'm moving between a few lenses as we talk — your Human Design, what was conditioned into you and why, the psychological pattern underneath what you're describing, and whatever else is actually useful for what's in front of me that day.

Afterward: a written recap in your own words, a specific practice built for how you're wired, and resources matched to exactly what came up. You don't have to remember it all. You leave with something to come back to.

Who This Is For

  • You've read the books, done the therapy, and your body still reacts before your brain catches up.

  • You could write the essay yourself on what's wrong. Knowing hasn't been enough.

  • Different person, different boss, different room. Same dynamic.

  • You give everyone else more grace than you give yourself for still being affected by it.

  • Other people can see the pattern. So can you. Seeing it hasn't been enough.

The Five Stages

Catch the Hook™ is my five-part method for breaking the pull back to what triggers you. We move from naming the exact moment the hook fires, to setting down what you've been carrying, to building daily practices that keep the old pattern from finding a new place to attach.

FAQ

Is this just for relationship stuff? No. Ex, boss, parent, job — the hook works the same way. Most people start with one area and find the same pattern everywhere else once they can name it.

How is this different from just "getting over it"? Getting over it assumes time alone does the work. You can be fully aware of a pattern and still be caught in it. This targets the mechanism, not the timeline.

Do I need to already be out of the situation to start? No. Most people start this mid-breakup, mid-job-search, still working for the boss who triggers them. The method works on the hook, wherever you are.

How long does this take? Depends how deep the pattern runs and how long you've been in it.

Is this therapy? No. It's built on REBT and mindfulness-based practices — not a clinical or diagnostic modality. If you're navigating trauma that needs clinical support, I'll help you find the right referral alongside this work.
